Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Userinit' = '<SYSTEM32>\userinit.exe,,%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Windowsupdate.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\svchost.exe'
- '%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Windowsupdate.exe'
- '<Current directory>\<LOADLIB>Srv.exe'
Injects code into
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\svchost.exe
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Windowsupdate.exe
- <Current directory>\<LOADLIB>Srv.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Windowsupdate.exe
