Technical Information
To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Microsoft OneDrive' = '\Microsoft\iscilog.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Microsoft OneDrive' = '%APPDATA%\Microsoft\iscilog.exe'
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\ping.exe' 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 1000
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /C ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 1000 > Nul & Del "<Full path to file>"
- '%TEMP%\<File name>\<File name>.exe'
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\Imminent\Logs\03-08-2017
- %APPDATA%\Imminent\Path.dat
- C:\Microsoft\iscilog.exe
- %TEMP%\<File name>\<File name>.exe
- %APPDATA%\Microsoft\iscilog.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %TEMP%\<File name>\<File name>.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'da######trats.duckdns.org':9003
UDP:
- DNS ASK da######trats.duckdns.org
