- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Microsoft' = 'C:\Users\Jay\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Local\svchost.exe'
Malicious functions
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks the following features:
- System Restore (SR)
Modifies file system
Creates the following files
- C:\users\jay\appdata\roaming\microsoft\local\svchost.exe
- %TEMP%\startup simg.jpeg
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files
- C:\users\jay\appdata\roaming\microsoft\local\svchost.exe
Network activity
TCP
- 'sm##.gmail.com':587
UDP
- DNS ASK sm##.gmail.com
Miscellaneous
Creates and executes the following
- 'C:\users\jay\appdata\roaming\microsoft\local\svchost.exe'
